Hypoluxo
Hypoluxo is nestled in the heart of Palm Beach County, Florida on the shores of the Intracoastal Waterway just minutes from West Palm Beach and a mere stone's throw from the sandy beaches of the Atlantic Ocean.
Hypoluxo Island got its name in 1873 from the Indians who were camping nearby. They called it “Hypoluxo,” meaning “water all around.” There have never been any business establishments on the island and today it remains a lovely residential spot on Florida’s Gold Coast. Today approximately 289 families reside on Hypoluxo Island.
